This is a public health issue that does not discriminate by age, gender, ethnicity, or socio-economic status.,
In the United States, a person dies by suicide every 15 minutes, claiming more than 36,000 lives each year. It is estimated that an attempt is made every minute, with close to one million people attempting suicide annually. Suicide is the fourth leading cause of death in the U.S. among adults 18-65, the second leading cause of death among teens and young adults, and individuals ages 65 and older account for 16 percent of all suicide deaths.

    Welcome

SamanthaForever.org is a new organization where the main objective is you. We are happy you are here. We are happy to see you.

There is a silent killer among us, in our schools, stalking the youth and young adults abroad. It is silent because we don't talk about it. It is not cancer or obesity. It is suicide, and as many as five children and young adults attempt it every day.
It's time we raise awareness no one wants to talk about it, and the end result is death.

Fact: Depression is to suicide as obesity is to diabetes, and it is killing our children. At the very least we can start talking about it.

Fact: Department of Education directs teachers and staff not to engage with students about suicide wanting to avoid a copy-cat syndrome. Yet, a side effect of not talking about suicide is that teachers do not know how to recognize warning signs. Recent studies have shown last year alone that 85 per cent of teachers could not identify a suicidal student.
